The association has clarified the VAT treatment of participation fees for the fall 2026 congress. Based on this clarification, the VAT previously charged on congress tickets will be adjusted.
This means that we will refund the VAT portion to those who purchased tickets. The refund applies to participation fees for which VAT was charged as part of the ticket price. Refunds will primarily be issued using the original payment method. If this is not possible, we will contact the purchasers to obtain the information needed for the refund.
For those who purchased tickets on behalf of a company or other organization, we will provide a corrected receipt or credit memo for accounting purposes, if necessary. For individuals, we will refund the VAT portion and provide a corrected receipt, if necessary.
No action is required from participants at this stage, unless the association contacts you specifically to request additional information.
