The newsletter of the International Society for Telemedicine & eHealth (ISfTeH) is published quarterly for members of the global telemedicine and eHealth community to provide updates about ISfTeH members and activities, as well as other telemedicine and eHealth news.

24th ISfTeH International Conference taking place in conjunction with Portugal eHealth Summit 2019
 
The 24th ISfTeH International Conference is taking place on 19-20 March 2019, in Lisbon, Portugal in conjunction with and hosted by the Portugal eHealth Summit.
 
 
The ISfTeH International Conferences (organized since the ISfTeH's inception in  the  mid-'90s) are always linked with an existing national/regional conference, organized by one of the ISfTeH national or institutional members. The conferences are an opportunity for ISfTeH members and our wider network of telemedicine and eHealth stakeholders to interact with each other, and to hear from and present to a national/regional audience.
 
The Portugal eHealth Summit is an initiative of the Ministry of Health and promoted by the Shared Services of the Ministry of Health (SPMS) and its National Center of Telehealth (CNTS) who are an institutional member in the ISfTeH. It is not only Portugal's largest gathering on digital transformation and innovation in the health sector, but also one of the largest in Europe with more than 13,000 people in attendance, and even more (22,000) who accessed the livestream of the 2018 event! The Portugal eHealth Summit has leveraged the country's strategic position in advancing the digital revolution in health, not only at the national level, but at the international level and transversal to all areas of society.
 
Join us next March in beautiful Lisbon for this exciting opportunity to see and hear about Portuguese and international telemedicine and eHealth developments. The Portugal eHealth Summit 2019 is scheduled for 19-22 March 2019 in Lisbon. The ISfTeH International Conference will be scheduled as part of the overall Summit program on 19-20 March. ISfTeH National Member for Portugal and Spain, SITT, is also actively supporting and contributing to the conference.

Submit your presentation proposal for the 24th ISfTeH International Conference and join us in Lisbon to present and discuss your telemedicine and eHealth activities.

The conference will focus on the use and implementation of telemedicine and eHealth around the globe. We welcome submissions on a wide range of topics related to the development, acceptance, implementation and use of telemedicine and eHealth solutions. Especially of interest will be insights into successful initiatives that have mainstreamed telemedicine/eHealth applications into routine care, national/regional eHealth programs, guidelines to support the quality of telemedicine and telehealth services, tele/videoconsultation services, new technological solutions, international partnerships and cross-border services, research on the cost and clinical effectiveness of telemedicine/telehealth applications, and more.

Free registration for the 24th ISfTeH International Conference
 
Registration to the 24th ISfTeH International Conference and the Portugal eHealth Summit will be free of charge for all visitors and speakers! Online registration will be available as of January 2019.

The event venue is the Altice Arena and the adjacent PT Meeting Center (part of the Lisbon International Fairgrounds) in the northeastern part of the city, 3 stops away on the metro from Lisbon airport.
 
Information about special deals at a hotel near the venue will be made available in the coming weeks. There are plenty of hotel options in the vicinity of the venue, or in other parts of the city (easily reachable via the metro or other public transportation).
